We are VIBEAT
Award winning jazz fusion band VIBEAT has performed throughout the East Coast at venues and festivals such as The Jazz Gallery in NYC, Rudy’s Jazz Room in Nashville, Art Basel in Miami, and have been featured artists with the SoFar Sounds concert series.
While the band has evolved over the years, the music and mission have always remained the same: to groove hard, take improvisational risks like the jazz greats always have, and to make sure the audience is having an AMAZING experience. In 2019 we self released our first album “VIBEATEP”, recorded in Miami, FL. Currently we are in the process of recording our second studio album entitled “Ready to Die” inspired by the legendary Biggie Smalls. While the band is rooted in traditional jazz, we continually try to break the barriers between jazz music and Hip Hop, bringing audiences something they can groove to, while still enjoying the improvisatory approach we take to our music. In 2023 VIBEAT was selected as a winner of the coveted South Arts Jazz Roads grant which funded their 2023 tour.

Nathan Skinner Bio
Nathan Skinner is a nationally touring jazz musician with his band VIBEAT; Nathan has recorded with Meghan Trainor, Wayne Bergeron, Shelly Berg, Brian Lynch, Chuck Bergeron, Kevin Mahogany and also recorded on the Grammy Nominated album "With Love" by Jeremy Fox in 2014. Nathan regularly performs in Palm Beach, Miami Beach and throughout south Florida. He has also performed in concert with Dena DeRose, John Colianni, Marian Petrescu, Matt Wilson, Marty Morell, Jeff Rupert, Shelly Berg, Ken Peplowski, Karrin Allyson and Chuck Bergeron.
Nathan attended the University of Miami and studied with Terence Blanchard, Shelly Berg, Martin Bejerano and the legendary Gary Burton. He has performed at the Amelia Island Jazz Festival, Monetary Jazz Festival, UCF Jazz Festival, and New Orleans Jazz Festival. He has also preformed with the Florida Wind Symphony and the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. He has won numerous awards and scholarships.
In Addition to leading and writing for his band "VIBEAT", Nathan composes/produces music for Big Bands, Marching Bands, Video/Arcade Games, Electronic/Dance/Hip-Hop Music projects, and also gives clinics and workshops at schools and Universities across the country.
